Description
[*edit 8/12 - eventually this will be re - worked, lots to improve. Check the rampant derpitude on that panther, for one. ]Symbolist examination of the private iconography of dreams.

So many friends helped me navigate Photoshop to complete this. It's only fair that you choose which version goes in the Feature gallery, and which goes to Scraps. This version has an antique filter, which unifies the colors of the piece, and adds warmth. However, some detail and color is lost.

That would be cool - I think it's one of the most requested things here. Whenever I do submit a DD suggestion, though I still have to check the FAQ to see who does what - it's pretty extensive

That's true... It's funny, I never gave DD's that much thought before... For some silly season, I didn't know that most suggestions didn't make it... I didn't think so many people suggested them.

I was going to include a link that one of the Gallery directors wrote about DD's - they get alot of flack for what they feature & reject, both; the link's disappeared though

It's a mystery - I have found if a DD suggestion is accepted, I hear back promptly. If not, there's no reply. I've been sorely tempted to ask the reason for a director not accepting a suggestion, but I've resisted so far. I think if you were to ask a gallery director about this one, he or she would say that it's an inexperienced work with visible flaws (flattened areas, areas look like cutouts pasted in, etc.) because it is. Digital art - people are SCARY good in this medium, and I'm just getting started

I love both versions and this one really seems warm... I personally think both should go into your Main gallery... Too good for scraps... not that scraps is bad...

I thought the "Share" link might have that option but it doesn't seem like that's the thing and I'm not buddies with any of the "staff" so... Maybe I'll figure it out eventually...

Well, in the FAQ you type Daily Deviation in the search field. The scrolldown has the directors for each genre. Then you send a note to one, with the link of the deviation, and why you like it. They'll do a scrap. BUT in case you make this effort thank you thank you. If this gets a DD I will eat my hat. Seriously. It'll be a cold day in Digital when this gets a DD

Hm, in the small pictures in my devwatch folder I thought I'd like this one better, but I must say, despite the waemth, it does lose some of the vibrancy. Especially the eye, which I really like in the first version.
But all in all it's a great image. I like the arc, under which the eye is, and those scales in the upper corners.
