First of all, this is an amazing shot - from the shadows to the tones to the overall composition. However, I'd like to ask you about the effect that you've created with the tones and colors - how did you create it? I really love the creamy look that it has, as well as the bits of navy. The shadows, as well, are very prominent, which goes very well for the photo.

oh, and i prefer to take photos of diffusely lit scenes, i find that works best with this approach.

i use ps only. i convert the original raw file to 16bit tiff, then convert that to grayscale, usually using the lab color mode. from that point i use adjustment layers only, three curves at least (one s curve for contrast, one for compressing the higlights [the creamy look you were referring to], and the last curve to tone the neutral b/w image). usually i use 5 or more layers to selectively adjust the tonality of certain areas. sometimes i add a dodge/burn overlay layer as well. basically, that's it

Teljesen olyan sztm, mintha erhalozata lenne a haznak...
A lepcso es az ajto vonalai miatt tunik ugy, mintha kicsit balra borulna, de ez nekem direkte bejon, hogy kisse amolyan instabil kompozicio... persze izlesek es pofonok
