The Alien 3 proposed by Vincent Ward was quite a different vision to the one we eventually got, and certainly a lot more promising. With its wooden planet setting, themes of religion and inner and outer demons, and a Ripley that wasn't bald, it looked rather promising. Ah, what could have been...This pic is of an interesting take on the Alien, based on designs by Mike Worrall. Apparently the Alien had some (or appeared to have; Ripley starts hallucinating a lot in the movie) shape-shifting powers, taking on the properties of wood and (as seen here) glass.

I'd heard about that on the Alien 3 special features. Would've been interesting to see, though I agree with some of the people who commented on it some of the logistics of it. Nice work on the pic.
