I had noticed this one - so modest and...sophisticated!

This may be my best tree, I don't think I've done anything quite so good since then.

Simple and elegant...yet very complex. I will always have a love for the little out of the way things like this hawthorn...

Thanks I think you're right small corners of the landscape are often the most interesting.

That is very much the perspective of my own work, though I think most may not get that...but who knows for certain?

This is really gorgeous! I love everything about it I think, it's hard to pick anything specific to love, it all stands out. The contrast between the lively raggedy border and the calm mutes stillness of the image itself works really well.

Ta. It's about as painterly as I've gotten so far.

Is this painted on canvas?
Either way, I love it, I wish I could buy it and hang it on a wall.

Thanks. It's painted on mounting board, that's perhaps an odd thing to use but I like the texture; there's also a little collage involved.

Thanks for the fave too.

That experimental border really befits the image I think they go well with your landscapes ^_^

This one put up a fight and I think it probably benefits from that. I must say I was pleased with the border myself.

Love the crispness of this. The framing really makes the entire thing pop.

It's my favorite from the current batch of landscapes, and I agree that the framing is a very important factor in making it work.
