It's the nerf element that you can only get through toys 'r us. Pretty cool gun and it's one of my personal favorites for adding lights and such in the front dart holding area under the barrel

Nicely done. I really like the worn areas on the pistol grip.

Thank you! The holes are plugged up with a backplate when you get it from the store. I remove the plates and allow you to see inside to the inner-barrel. It's a minor detail, but like you mentioned it adds that little something extra so it makes it worth the time spent.

Totally! I think that too many people try to make things realistic, but they forget to go for realism instead. You made a fantasy gun (and I say that with nothing but praise) and you added in those little touches that real guns have beyond a barrel and trigger. Great work!

I did! It's a nerf Element and I thought it looked the part of a halo sidearm. Glad you like it!

Yeah, I like it, but if you're going to do it again, I would recommend painting the portion of the grip under the trigger guard the same color as the back (orangish brown), and doing a different color than OD Green on the underbarrel thing below the N-Strike logo. It looks like it wants to be a brass or anodized aluminum mag light or something.

That's all that matters then! Either way, this one's a good piece for your portfolio.

These are all store bought nerf guns that I work over. I do resin cast replicas, but that is not these!

Ya, doing scratch-built guns is not in my ability set, yet. Some day though!
