Description

It was lovely outside, so you laced up your best sneakers, put on your headphones, and went out for a quick run. You were enjoying your music so much that didn’t hear the sounds of explosions and screaming crowds. You were so focused on where you were going that you didn’t notice the swarm of people running in the opposite direction as you.
As you continued your run, even you weren’t oblivious enough to miss the rubble and debris covering the once clean streets. You take off your headphones and look around, stunned by the sight of crushed cars, bent lampposts, and buildings with holes in them.
It doesn’t take you long to find the source of all this destruction. A monster is walking through the city, destroying everything in its path!
You and the monster spot each other at the same time. It charges at you with incredible speed. You would have died, if Wonder Woman hadn’t appeared, seemingly out of nowhere, quickly shoving you aside and blocking the monster with her shield. You stare, dumbstruck by the beautiful amazon standing over you. You’d always found her attractive when you saw her on the news, but she was so much prettier up close. She spares you a quick glance before concentrating on the monster. “Get to safety!”
You don’t have to be told twice. Running as fast as you can, you find a car to hide behind that’s far enough away from the battle to be safe. You haven’t seen anyone else in the area. Everyone but you was sensible enough to escape while they could. The fight between Wonder Woman and this monster would be seen by you alone.
Peeking out from your hiding spot, you see the monster and Wonder Woman facing each other. Incredibly, the monster speaks. “I am the Corruptor! I find the pure of heart and show them the folly of nobility!”
Wonder Woman isn’t impressed. “You’ll harm no one else this day, monster!” She lands a hard punch, sending it flying backward. After hitting a building behind it, the Monster explodes in a brilliant flash of light!
Fortunately, you were staring at the lovely heroine that saved you when the monster exploded. Wonder Woman, however, had her eyes fixed on the monster. You watch as she desperately tries to shield her eyes from the blinding light, but is not entirely successful. Strangely, you see Wonder Woman smile just as the light begins to fade. Stranger still, you could have sworn you saw her eyes glow red for a moment, but that might have been a trick of the light.
The important thing is the monster has been defeated. You emerge from your hiding place and approach Wonder Woman, hoping to thank her properly for saving you.
