I bought a Minolta Dynax 4 film camera, I also bought a 50mm prime lens for it, can you give me some starter tips to help me capture great shots.

I got a Zenit with a 50 mm on. Always shoot in black and white. The aperture should be the most challenging thing to do, with these older cameras, has it a automatic messure device? Mine has that circles to focus and guess the light intensity. I don´t know what´s the widest aperture of your lens. If it´s not too bright always shoot fast (500 is the fastest on mine) and wide open (f/2.0). This will create a great dept of field. The 50 mm on a analogue camera is a good choice, it´s the same picture size, your eyes have, just cropped It´s great for portraits or shots towards the montains, (if you guys got any). Architecture shots are not that easy, you gotta walk a lot, but... it´s a lot about experimenting and finding nice subjects. Have fun so far, I am open for more questions see ya mate
