Actually I think I figured it out. Mickey's original world is Disney Castle's land and Minnie's is the Kingdom of the Musketeers which is sleeping. I can't explain Peat though...

Only if it's the focus can it really be good but only when the Butterfly theory is presented like it is in BttF like you mentioned (A great movie btw)
But other than that it can really be agravating when I see stories take this route because it feels like if something can be changed then what's the point

love that movie.Β Yes! its such a complicated subject that it requires the full attention of the story/plot, it justΒ cant be used so loosely. it was fine with the Timeless river world, b/c it was confined toΒ just Disney castle and nothing more.
I just hate that they threw it into the main plot. *sigh* Nomura has a lot of explaining to do in KH3 Β

The thing is, it WAS explained in detail in 3D, with all the rules and everything.
Also, one of those same rules states that NOTHING can change with time travel in this story. The past is set in stone, and no amount of time-hopping will switch things up. The most that can be changed is the future.

You'd think that if those worlds where sleeping then characters like mickey, and pinochio would've been trapped there until saved. I swear I've beaten the game like three-four times and I STILL get confused

yeah that's what I thought! their trying too hard to explain things that aren't really necessary to explain. they have all this confusing content on WHY these worlds are in the dream realm...I don't care WHY! as long as they're fun that's all that matters, if they never explained this it would have been an easy oversight...

Yen Sid probably explains it best, that since the world is asleep and hasn't fully been returned (at some point apparently Disney Castle when it was the Country of Musketeers and the Mysterious Tower/Symphony of Sorcery were swallowed by the darkness.Β That's the part that baffles me to this day, and yet everything else in KH makes sense/can be believed with suspension of disbelief), it is trying to put together the missing pieces of it in the form of a dream i.e. Pinnochio, Monstro, Jiminy, Gepetto, Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Pete, and Minnie in Prankster's Paradise, Country of Musketeers, and Symphony of Sorcery are all just figments of a sleeping world's dream and playing past events in an endless loop of sorts until the world is awakened and returned to the Realm of Light.
TLDR; the characters who should have been trapped by your logic are all just part of the dream and therefore aren't real.
