Overall, a very solid portrait. The "earthy" feeling is potent, and as a whole it was clearly rendered with a great deal of love and attention to detail. My notes are mostly nitpicky things that I think could really make the piece "pop."
First of all, I think the background would really benefit from being pushed in a more subtle direction. As it stands, it's an incredibly saturated green with a rather heavy texture slapped on top, and sudden gradations from a bright yellow-green to a pitch black. It tends to distract from the head in some spots. It's also worth remembering the all-important mantra: "Light thing on a dark thing, dark thing on a light thing." There are spots where her hair and the background are the same value, which can lead to a loss of depth. If it were desaturated a touch, I also think that would serve to push her forward. Adjustment layers can really help out here.
Secondly, certain aspects of the drawing would benefit from a bit of pushing and pulling. The butterflies and grasshopper are rendered with such meticulous detail that it makes things such as the branches around her neck seem comparatively simplistic, and a little out of place.
Also, her eyebrows are a bit thick, dark, and heavy. If they were softened and brightened a bit, I think it would really help her "gentle" appearance. The same goes for the mark under her lips: if it were softened a bit, I think it'd read way better.
Overall, though, I love the feel this piece achieves e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>
Hope this helps!

Hello!
Let me start with the things that make me adore this picture. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>
The colors are chosen extremely well, i think. Especially the combination of colors in the eye & the iridescent rose. That, the warm colors of the butterflies and the illuminated green background are simply perfect. Together with the lighting and the pose, these aspects of the artwork make her look divine and close to nature. It's also nice that there aren't blue colors anywhere else but around the eyes.
The moss on the neck has a pretty good, realistic texture.
The sharp patterns on the butterflies is another thing i like, it creates a good contrast to the background and the softness of her skin. That same sharpness could have continued on the hair, in my opinion.
What i noticed, is that the nose in particular is not symmetrical. It could be improved, i think, by softening the lower half of the shading on the left side (viewer's left side, her right side).
The triangular paint under her lips looks like it was intended to be symmetrical but ended up being not.
The eyebrows seem too block-like, not so natural, too dense. The reference image's eyebrows softly fade into the skin color.
The jewelry on her forehead seems to hang from nowhere. I'm not an expert on this sort of jewelry but that's how i feel about it.
The shoulder closest to us seems too small/thin, probably because of the shading and the root that clings to it.
I hope all this didn't sound too strong, i tried to balance it. I really like this picture and your works always have strong, artistic, non-commercial, honest, refreshingly good quality, they really make the viewer feel something and your sense of colors in particular is always superior.
Keep up the good work.

The picture really captures the essence of nature and beauty in my opinion. I like how you combined those two to make such a magnificent drawing. The colors fit really well, and they go very smoothly together. The colors are also very vibrant, yet dark in some parts, making a perfect visual for it.
I have seen many other pictures with this style, thus the originality is three. I do believe that this piece is beautiful, however, and it shows that you worked hard on it.
I think that the eye-catching part of the drawing is not just her beautiful face, but also the amazing detail of the little insect you included. I feel like you should have included a little more of her chest part, because the tree ''clothing'' looks very interesting, and it would make the picture even more amazing.
Overall, amazing work of art! Well done.

First of all i want to apologize for my English, it's not as good as i wanted, lack of practicee.deviantart.net/emoticons/r/r⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Razz)"/>.
i want to congratulate you for your drawings, i really like your style, and your imagination.
In this picture like zetsubu said, the overall, its perfect. Love the color pallet, the composition, technique and imagination are really good. it's a really harmonious picture.
But the nose and the mouth's perspective are kind of weird, although in the photo they are exactly the same way. so i think it's a weird photoe.deviantart.net/emoticons/r/r⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Razz)"/>.
i think the highlights and shadows are really good to, loved the tree growing up her neck. And her skin is really good too, not too shiny and not too dull.
I usually don't like picture with a lot of colors, but you could manage such an harmonious connection between them, that i liked. i loved the lotus flower.
keep the great job!

This is a beautiful picture. Right off the bat, however, I did notice a few minor mistakes.
For instance, the left nostril is rotated strangely, as if her nose is being bent the wrong way. Also, her right cheek is shaped as if she was older than the left side of her face would indicate. I also think the ear may be a bit too low, but that may be how you draw elves. I think it looks slightly strange that her right eyelashes are longer than the left ones, adding a strange contrast to her eyes.
Those were really the only problems that I saw, and besides that the drawing is beautiful. Your shading really captures the image and illuminates the light source. The flower on the side of her face amplifies the fact that she is supposed to be 'one with nature'. The creatures on her and the greenery growing around her really shows that fact as well.
Overall, I think you did a fantastic job on this picture, and I cant wait to see more from you.

I really love the concept like how you litterally materialized the earth godess. She is very, well, god-like.
You made a very good use of your reerence stock, but I noticed a small problem, 2-3 mm large if I could say it that way. The fact is, that I think the skin at the left of the lips is a little too wide. It is not major, but it somewhat unbalances the face. Moreover, but that is just a personal opinion, I would have loved to see her hair loating in the wind alongside with the butterfly, alhough it is a little clichΓ©d.
But, the light source is just perfect and adds a magical feeling to your art. I just adore the small details such as the different lenght of the eyelashes, the small marguerites in her hair and the contrast between the color of the bug and the bakcground. I am far from having even the third of your skill and have a deep admiration for you, and hope that you do not take offense o my critique.
Have a nice creation,
Sourismini

Ps: Deviant art sucks, musste mal raus hahahahah ^^

This is truly a masterpiece. And all the effort you put into this; 10 hours of complete artist! :3 Anyway, the way you make the face look so realistic, with the glows of the natural sunlight beaming from the upper left hand corner. And the hair just slightly raised above the surface of her head, just truly beautiful. And the way the flowers seem to grow on her face just brings out that entire "Gaea" point. I mean Gaea is the Greek goddess of nature, and also the mother of all living things; and the way you show it in the painting precisely shows the detail; the pointed ears, (not real human, but a touch of myth as well), the flowers on her face, that tree root wrapping around her neck, her hair resembles the soil of the earth, and the butterflies, one of her most majestic creations...It's just all a true beauty, and makes me want to cry. I wish I could see this beautiful lady in front of me right now, the exact same way you drew it. Also, the way the light beams through the dark background, seemingly looks like she is rising from the darkness of the earth underneath. Just exquisite. And to think the Son of Neptune story by Rick Riordan talks about Gaea being a vicious goddess who wants to bring back the titans and giants and rule the earth once again! The story makes her seem so cruel and evil, but this painting shows the good and beautiful side of her, and shows that she created all of this. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/> Nice job, I really like it, and I'm sure everyone else does too.
Good Luck! And keep up the amazing work!
You are one of THE BEST artist's I've ever seen.
