Overall, a very solid portrait. The "earthy" feeling is potent, and as a whole it was clearly rendered with a great deal of love and attention to detail. My notes are mostly nitpicky things that I think could really make the piece "pop."
First of all, I think the background would really benefit from being pushed in a more subtle direction. As it stands, it's an incredibly saturated green with a rather heavy texture slapped on top, and sudden gradations from a bright yellow-green to a pitch black. It tends to distract from the head in some spots. It's also worth remembering the all-important mantra: "Light thing on a dark thing, dark thing on a light thing." There are spots where her hair and the background are the same value, which can lead to a loss of depth. If it were desaturated a touch, I also think that would serve to push her forward. Adjustment layers can really help out here.
Secondly, certain aspects of the drawing would benefit from a bit of pushing and pulling. The butterflies and grasshopper are rendered with such meticulous detail that it makes things such as the branches around her neck seem comparatively simplistic, and a little out of place.
Also, her eyebrows are a bit thick, dark, and heavy. If they were softened and brightened a bit, I think it would really help her "gentle" appearance. The same goes for the mark under her lips: if it were softened a bit, I think it'd read way better.
Overall, though, I love the feel this piece achieves e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>
Hope this helps!

Hello!
Let me start with the things that make me adore this picture. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>

The colors are chosen extremely well, i think. Especially the combination of colors in the eye & the iridescent rose. That, the warm colors of the butterflies and the illuminated green background are simply perfect. Together with the lighting and the pose, these aspects of the artwork make her look divine and close to nature. It's also nice that there aren't blue colors anywhere else but around the eyes.
The moss on the neck has a pretty good, realistic texture.
The sharp patterns on the butterflies is another thing i like, it creates a good contrast to the background and the softness of her skin. That same sharpness could have continued on the hair, in my opinion.

What i noticed, is that the nose in particular is not symmetrical. It could be improved, i think, by softening the lower half of the shading on the left side (viewer's left side, her right side).
The triangular paint under her lips looks like it was intended to be symmetrical but ended up being not.
The eyebrows seem too block-like, not so natural, too dense. The reference image's eyebrows softly fade into the skin color.
The jewelry on her forehead seems to hang from nowhere. I'm not an expert on this sort of jewelry but that's how i feel about it.
The shoulder closest to us seems too small/thin, probably because of the shading and the root that clings to it.

I hope all this didn't sound too strong, i tried to balance it. I really like this picture and your works always have strong, artistic, non-commercial, honest, refreshingly good quality, they really make the viewer feel something and your sense of colors in particular is always superior.
Keep up the good work.

First off, This Is an Magnificent Painting.
This Image Really Captures both Beauty and Nature.
The Butterflies Really Give the photo a glamourous yet Nature Feel to it. The Flower Really flows with her Glowing Bright yellow eyes, and I love the Texture feel to it and the cracks below it. Through all the detail shown, it really shows how hard you worked on this. The tree On her neck looks great, And you've really placed it well. The lips are gorgeous, and Have this Nutural yet Pretty Pink look to them. The background looks great pressed against this great painting. I can really tell you used your imagination for this one. The necklace on her forehead Reminds me of Zen. The stroke below her bottom lip Looks good, and highlights the eyes, as they're both Orange\Yellow. The Mold On her neck Looks great, and I could Imagine it as Tree Mold. I love the fact that the Butterflies are glowing.

With that Being said, You did an awesome job! Well done.

The picture really captures the essence of nature and beauty in my opinion. I like how you combined those two to make such a magnificent drawing. The colors fit really well, and they go very smoothly together. The colors are also very vibrant, yet dark in some parts, making a perfect visual for it.

I have seen many other pictures with this style, thus the originality is three. I do believe that this piece is beautiful, however, and it shows that you worked hard on it.

I think that the eye-catching part of the drawing is not just her beautiful face, but also the amazing detail of the little insect you included. I feel like you should have included a little more of her chest part, because the tree ''clothing'' looks very interesting, and it would make the picture even more amazing.

Overall, amazing work of art! Well done.

First of all i want to apologize for my English, it's not as good as i wanted, lack of practicee.deviantart.net/emoticons/r/r… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Razz)"/>.

i want to congratulate you for your drawings, i really like your style, and your imagination.

In this picture like zetsubu said, the overall, its perfect. Love the color pallet, the composition, technique and imagination are really good. it's a really harmonious picture.

But the nose and the mouth's perspective are kind of weird, although in the photo they are exactly the same way. so i think it's a weird photoe.deviantart.net/emoticons/r/r… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Razz)"/>.

i think the highlights and shadows are really good to, loved the tree growing up her neck. And her skin is really good too, not too shiny and not too dull.
I usually don't like picture with a lot of colors, but you could manage such an harmonious connection between them, that i liked. i loved the lotus flower.

keep the great job!

its a beautiful picture overall. The color pallet is colorful but not overwhelming and the composition is simple but powerful. There is, however, one thing that is severely bothering me, the nose. The position of the nostrils make it appear as if her nose was broken or growing out of her cheek.
just at a weird angle.
looking at the original the nose looks the same way which still looks weird but the main difference is that you have drawn it so the septum is concave. This makes it further appear that the nostril is more towards us than its intended to be. I seem to be the only one with a problem with it but its enough so that while my eyes met the subject's eyes first, i then looked at her nose and then stopped. While automatically saw this as a beautiful picture overall but i had to consciously compel myself to get off the nose.
I would recommend either bring the furthest nostril up and out slightly or the closest nostril in.
But enough of that
There is a lot of variation in textures and I love that. Her skin looks natural and not plastic and while the hair is rendered with as much detail and it looks smooth and flowing. I also really like the subtle details like the creeping vine that leads to a lady bug and the small daisies in her hair. The vine itself is a beautiful touch because the way you have made it blends with the hair and its shape isn't menacing. However as it creeps up her neck it gives a feeling of overwhelming overgrowth.
As a final thought the image would probably look better cropped. Right above the butterflies on her head and below the butterfly flying around. The addition doesn't really do anything for the image other than elongate the canvas. Cropping it however illuminates her face and allows my eyes to gradually travel and not dart around for a center point (her nose)

Vision overall flows with your intended theme and all the elements included are relevant to this.

While the concept of wood elves is not new, the way you have envisioned it and then presented it is fresh in that the woman is not simply an elf with nature around her but truly apart of nature in that she is pointed like a flower leaning towards sunlight.

Technique is definitely professional. Your caliber of skillfulness is what I strive to reach. I have taken a point off for the nose as it is a major distraction for those who notice it.

The impact is amazingly strong. Even with my problem with the nose the overall image is just that amazing (enough so i wrote a critique). There is beautiful harmony that is going on between the cool and warm colors and as i said there are little details (like the lashes) that just make this image so much more appealing.

This is a beautiful picture. Right off the bat, however, I did notice a few minor mistakes.

For instance, the left nostril is rotated strangely, as if her nose is being bent the wrong way. Also, her right cheek is shaped as if she was older than the left side of her face would indicate. I also think the ear may be a bit too low, but that may be how you draw elves. I think it looks slightly strange that her right eyelashes are longer than the left ones, adding a strange contrast to her eyes.

Those were really the only problems that I saw, and besides that the drawing is beautiful. Your shading really captures the image and illuminates the light source. The flower on the side of her face amplifies the fact that she is supposed to be 'one with nature'. The creatures on her and the greenery growing around her really shows that fact as well.

Overall, I think you did a fantastic job on this picture, and I cant wait to see more from you.

I really love the concept like how you litterally materialized the earth godess. She is very, well, god-like.

You made a very good use of your reerence stock, but I noticed a small problem, 2-3 mm large if I could say it that way. The fact is, that I think the skin at the left of the lips is a little too wide. It is not major, but it somewhat unbalances the face. Moreover, but that is just a personal opinion, I would have loved to see her hair loating in the wind alongside with the butterfly, alhough it is a little clichΓ©d.

But, the light source is just perfect and adds a magical feeling to your art. I just adore the small details such as the different lenght of the eyelashes, the small marguerites in her hair and the contrast between the color of the bug and the bakcground. I am far from having even the third of your skill and have a deep admiration for you, and hope that you do not take offense o my critique.

Have a nice creation,
Sourismini

This is truly a masterpiece. And all the effort you put into this; 10 hours of complete artist! :3 Anyway, the way you make the face look so realistic, with the glows of the natural sunlight beaming from the upper left hand corner. And the hair just slightly raised above the surface of her head, just truly beautiful. And the way the flowers seem to grow on her face just brings out that entire "Gaea" point. I mean Gaea is the Greek goddess of nature, and also the mother of all living things; and the way you show it in the painting precisely shows the detail; the pointed ears, (not real human, but a touch of myth as well), the flowers on her face, that tree root wrapping around her neck, her hair resembles the soil of the earth, and the butterflies, one of her most majestic creations...It's just all a true beauty, and makes me want to cry. I wish I could see this beautiful lady in front of me right now, the exact same way you drew it. Also, the way the light beams through the dark background, seemingly looks like she is rising from the darkness of the earth underneath. Just exquisite. And to think the Son of Neptune story by Rick Riordan talks about Gaea being a vicious goddess who wants to bring back the titans and giants and rule the earth once again! The story makes her seem so cruel and evil, but this painting shows the good and beautiful side of her, and shows that she created all of this. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/> Nice job, I really like it, and I'm sure everyone else does too.

Good Luck! And keep up the amazing work!

I adore the fantastic, natural colors in this piece. It reminds me of a "Mother Nature" figure with all the colors of life and bountiful nature.

I love the overall concept - and the attention to detail placed in this piece. Specifically in the branches clenching her throat, her facial features, and the flower design along her cheek. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w… " width="23" height="15" alt="" title="Wow!"/>

Fantastic profile view as well. Her chin, lips, and eyes are beautifully drawn and add to her sorrowful facial expression. Once again I find myself at a loss for suggestions to improve. I feel as if this piece is already perfect and need not be edited further.

It's beautiful, the colors are pretty. The shadows and all that is great e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>

The mouth seems to be a bit off-grid compared to the nose and eyes; and the right side of the lower lip is thinner than the other side. The ear should be a little higher if you look at its placement and compare it to the nose and eyebrows. Her left eye's eyelashes look shorter than those on her right. I think its easy to correct that stuff in Photoshop so it shouldn't take long to fix e.deviantart.net/emoticons/let… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Lick)"/>

Otherwise, I love the design and those butterflies, and it's a cool tattoo she's got on her face e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>

The deep yellow of perfection on the beautiful eyes really touched me.
All those bug on her hair are really a symbol of life, there are small and big life being, but all of them are a creation of the beautiful evolution.

The work is pretty impressive, the head features are well balanced the butterflies are greatly detailed and look incredibly realistic.
However I did find some things you might want to consider.
The right eyelashes are small compared to the left ones, I don't know if you did this on purpose.
I don't know if this is just me, but I find the head to be a little out of proportion from the body.
A much brighter and greenish background would have given your work a lot more impact, thus making it almost perfect.

Sincerely, I just hope you find this helpful. (-_-)

That's amazing!; you really put effort to make this, 10 hours making this piece of art, WOW!

The theme of Gaia is the human with the nature and how the humans wants to see the future but Gaia is an elf (I think so).

You used well the shadows and the colors also how is her body formed and all the image is centralized in her and not in another thing.
