Note: The back view might be a bit hard to see - sorry >.< It's explained below.

Feather Trim on Knits: Basically, the knits have been sliced up and remade into those various wraps around her torso along with that extremely long knit train [which was meant to have a pattern on it, and the 'draft' of it is visible, but time constraints... *excuses*].
Had fun with the feathers, though. Made them much bigger than usual for dramatic effect. The kind of feathers are the type with the fluffly bit at the bottom and more firm on top [[link] the kind that, while still having a taste of luxury, is sharp and firm enough to hold its own At first, the feathers were going to be the centrepiece of the dress but now, I'm not so sure.
The knits are held together by the bangle bracelet. There're two - one on the front and one on the back.

Leotards: Okay, I was mentally hitting myself the next day after picking this at something like 2am. I couldn't think of a way to 'creatively' apply the leotard other than to simply wear it as its made to be worn, as by using just its features no-one would be able to tell the element was even there until they read this..
So, to approach it in another direction, the rest of the dress was based around it - bringing some influence from Dita von Teese's flambouyant sense of style [], it ended up having a sort of showgirl feel to it - but to prevent it from going too far into that and away from couture I made the skirt more complicated and tried not to use colours that were too flashy.

Colour Scheme: Now, the reds are meant to be lust - it's been said that it's the colour that is most likely to induce that particular sin in people [according to some book on body language I read the other day] but as usual my hands had minds of their own most of it ended up far more pink that I would have liked. It's black lining is meant to represent the bottomless, dark nature of the 7 sins *end cliches*
The white second upper layer above the reds with irregular silver [yes, it's meant to be silver] streaks on them were meant to be something in between the lines of metal and ice - in deliberately contrast to the possibly softer [or at least less aggressive] mood of the reds[/pinks in this case]. Don't think this is very noticeable, though.
The knits are blue - for some odd reason, I couldn't think of them in any other colour [except maybe black?] - they were origianlly much darker, but as usual, the scanner ate the colours like french fries and there you go.
The feathers... were the last to be coloured, at maybe 2 in the morning. By then my eyesight was so far gone [was working on this from about 7pm] squinting in the pathecally dim light of my bedroom that I couldn't even tell if I was keeping within the lines anymore. It was just so blurry [getting my eyes tested next week.. :S].

Sketched, inked, and coloured in with a mix of Letrasets and Copics, BG, editing and text done in GIMP. Total time about 9 hours - most of it spent on the lineart. Felt this actually looked a lot better uncoloured.
