Jason Todd was originally a car thief, who got into the wrong types of people. Soon he found himself in big time robberies, but with his expert skills in the art, he was a big name and got allot of money for himself. He went by the nickname of 'Robbin''.

He was caught on the run by GCPD and sent to Blackgate prison, where after a mass break out he returned to the street using only the name Robbin'.

Hired by the Red Hood gang, he participated in the robbery at the Ace Chemical plant. They hired him for his driving skills, but when he saw the Batman drive up, he quickly got out of there. However, Robbin' still has links with the gang and is making his way up the criminal underworld.

After the Joker found him and beat him to a pulp with a crowbar because he ditched the Red Hood gang for his own safety, he could no longer show his face to anyone. So taking the Red Hood persona and making it more modern with body armour instead of just the classic suit, he became the Red Hood with a personal vendetta over the Joker's head.
