D'aaaaw Lily and James!First wanted to draw Lily 'friendly' hugging Sev and messing up his hair...but then was like...EW like you'd ever touch his hair. So then it turned into James, whom I enjoy to draw more anyways XD lol.
Kind of imagined Lil's to spontaneously hug him like this in their seventh year...when there's nothing going on yet really, but james would be like 'MEEP '

If you're a genuine friend, you don't mind a little greasy hair. But we all know Lily was never a true friend to Sev.

If she wasn't attracted to Severus that's her business, but acting like she barely knew him while he was being bullied? Calling him "Snivellus" and mocking his poverty? Refusing to accept his apology? Expecting him to make enemies of boys who slept in the same room with him, when he already had four nasty enemies? Not a good friend.

well he was a teenage boy, not a three year old. He shouldn't have needed a best friend who would;ve needed to stalk him to know what was going on. Β He started by hanging out with his roommates and just mindlessly went along with all their habits. And meanwhile because he was hanging out with them ofcourse he could not be seen hanging out with a Mudblood. Β He never spoke up when they would talk about Mudbloods and joining Voldemort, he joint that side. Yes ofcourse he was an insecure teenager, but he could've stopped and thought for a while, which is what she said to him. She just called him Snivellus once, right AFTER he had called her a Mudblood. Oh and right, that was right after she stood up for him and yelled at James to stop bothering him. So I don't get where you got the idea that she acted like she barely knew him.
Β So yearrpp no sorry, I just think Snape made some really stupid mistakes as a teenager, and ofcourse he is awesome and all! That last book made me cry so much for him. But in all reality, it were Β his own choices that brought him where he ended up. Lily was one of the best friends you could;ve had, and she was also a teenager. I think I would;ve gone about it the same way to be honest. Β
James was a turd up until the end of 5th year, but then he changed for Lily, he chose to respect her wish and not bother snape (as long as lily was around, lol, still a turd) but he eventually grew up and stopped harassing Snape as much as he used to. Which is more then what Snape did for Lily, he joint the dark lord and she was killed off by the wizard he called his Dark Lord. Snape didn't look over Harry because he wanted to after all, but because he loathed himself for the choices he made and wanted to do something to keep the last piece of her she left behind safe. So yes, awesome guy in the end, but after some grave errors and misunderstandings.Β
Waw big rambling sorry haha. It;s just that I really don't think that Lily ever would've wanted to hurt Snape, the reason she didn;t want to be friends anymore was just because she hated the people he hung around and she hated what they turned him into. And Sev must;ve felt so corned by the whole world at that point that it just must have felt good to have the slytherin's slightly tolerate him, which they didn;t do much because he was just a halfblood. All so tragic...
