Hello.
Hmm... I wish I could see this one closer up.
I should make it clear that I quite like this piece, it is good.
Now, on to criticism.
Im not sure what to think about the shilouette-man there... the shadow that he casts should be longer and angled more to the right. Perhaps also some attention payed to how it would work on the lay of the land it hits, as it is fairly variable.
The girl, while simply outstanding, is also lit strangely. it almost seems as if she glows (intended?). the path in front of her too.
The highlights do not come from the same angle as the surrounding rocks, and that makes the mind think that she is lit from a source other than what lights everything else, though whatever that source is, it lights only her.
This effect is added to by the contrast in contrast. heh.
The rocks etc are all in stark contrast. everything is lit very strongly on one side and hardly at all (or not at all) on the other. This is not so for the girl.
The strong light (the whiteness) and that high contrast of the stone work together to make the viewer comfortable in this dark place. Also, with the leaves which would usually diffuse light doing seemingly little to soften that contrast, I get to thinking that the light outside is very strong indeed.
This is good stuff. Simon Likes.

I see alot of work on devaint art and im like yeh thats great work, but ur work, i connect with. Every peice you do i always have strong feelings about. i can sense the emoutions u were portraying in the pictures(apoligizes for the spelling) A quote "Some photographers take pictures through a window and some into a mirror" every one tells me im a mirror. My pictures reflect me, (a mirror) rather than being what i see (like a window). I believe you are a mirror.........

AH, I think its safe to assume we love the dark shadow in the composition.
What dark strokes used here anywhere?
Great stuff, as usual.

How do you create the visual effects digitally? Perhaps that is too general a question, but, taking the leaves for instance, most aspects of the picture seem completely painted.

full view is critical indeed!
colour is fantastic, and the blending of the top part juxtaposed with the clarity of the bottom half gives a very surreal feel. the blending gives the feeling of time passing.
so many stories that could result from this
beautiful stuff Ira

This one reminds me of a loved one who has passed on and in dreams you see them haunting your eyes. Something like a last wish to see them one more time, too feel a warm embrace or gentle kiss. Very emotional and powerful, quite impressive work.
