?A new WIP for the Elco Class. As you can see, the Elco is quite small, the smallest ship operated by the UN. It's only slightly larger than an Orbital Guard cutter and that is solely because of the long forward sensor mast. The Elco serves the role of a forward observation craft. It's offensive and defensive systems were largely added as an afterthought, due to the ship being mostly sensors. Because of its size and limited storage capacity, the Elco isn't designed to go far for very long. In cases where it is to be deployed for long durations, the Elco will need to be accompanied by ships that can provide an adequate defense as well as keep it resupplied.

It's offensive and defensive systems were largely added as an afterthought, due to the ship being mostly sensors. Because of its size and limited storage capacity, the Elco isn't designed to go far for very long. In cases where it is to be deployed for long durations, the Elco will need to be accompanied by ships that can provide an adequate defense as well as keep it resupplied.
