Description A typically unseasonal submission from me, as usual

You won't find me drawing Christmas girls or wintery maidens wrapped in scarves and gloves, I really can't stand the cold and I'm already longing for the sunshine again.. bah!

So enjoy this little glimpse of summer amongst these truly horrid cold days.

Oh yes, I spent way too long colouring this one, couldn't get the skin tones right until I started adding some warmer red/purple tones, that coupled with the highlights seemed to sort everything and give the sunny glow I was aiming for.

We happen to be going through a mini-heatwave over here at the moment, around 26C which is hot for us.. so no travel is required

I like it but she's a bit on the thin side for my tastes personally. But that is seriously just me, still very nice though. To be honest...it looks like you can see her ribs and that is just not cool haha.

Personally I thought she was quite shapely, but I can see that her mid section is probably thinner than it would be in real life.

I am working on making my girls more curvy though so will keep your comments in mind for future pics.

Oh yes the black thin line is a deviantART error I think. It's not on my version, or the version on my DA frontpage. I've uploaded her a few times now, and the line subsequently disappeared for me, but obviously others can still see it.

I'll try uploading her again later today, see if it fixes it.

Yes I played around with the skin tones and couldn't get 'em to look right at all, totally drove myself banannas. So I left her for a week or two and came back to her.. a fresh set of eyes always helps

I just laid down my normal skin tones then did some really dark purple tones on a separate layer. Then played around with the layer opacity until the colours looked right. It was a lot of trial & error, but it worked out in the end (I think).
