Remember when Dr. Manhattan went in for his TV interview, and how the director made a fuss about his skin being too light a blue? I'm sure some troll is going to make that same remark here.

Oh, that's awesome. Dr. Manhattan is usually such a blank figure over all that power, but you've given some hint that there is a lot going on underneath. Very cool.

Please don't ever use the phrase "considering it was done traditionally instead of digitally". That makes it sound like digital is the superior medium, which is completely not true considering the fact that people were creating amazing works like this long before the computer was even thought of.
Sorry, this is just something that frustrates me. >_<

Actually, I find digital art a LOT harder to do, especially when it comes to sketching. I can't get the same sense of intimacy from a computer that I do with a pencil and paper. It makes me sad that so many artists are going digital...it forces me to do so since my job depends on it. >_<

Rorschach was faced with an unsolvable dilemma. He wanted to die.

Ertragen In reply to GothroStudios [2010-07-28 02:25:16 +0000 UTC]
Not really. He wanted to change the world for the better. He witnessed something that made him become the hero he was. He only wanted to die when he realized how even his "friends" who were also heros who were supposed to help make the world better was themselves very corrupt and his efforts would be in vein.

GothroStudios In reply to Ertragen [2010-07-28 02:35:09 +0000 UTC]
Don't get me wrong, Rorschach was my favorite character, too... but, his perspective was very rigidly defined. He was the ultimate fan of objectivism. He was not out to make the world a better place, he was out to punish or remove those who were making it a worse place. Alan Moore went to great lengths to show that all of the Watchmen had aberrant personalities. If you've not read any of Alan's interviews on the subject, before talk of making the film started, you would probably enjoy what he had to say.

Ertragen In reply to GothroStudios [2010-07-29 02:12:34 +0000 UTC]
I get your point but, what I see is he WAS making a world a better place at least by trying to find and punish the bad guys. In reality he was the only one in the group who actually was devoted to accomplishing the task. From beginning to end, Dr. Manhattan pretty much just cared more about how things would impact him on personal level and if it didn't, he didn't care.
