Man, you are so talented. With a few shades and shapes you are able to capture and convey suspense, intrigue, a sense of place and purpose.
You accurately represent the unique features of a black female face and constrained the expressions within those features. The illustration is respectful to her. She is beautiful, purposeful, and determined.
With a few very simple props, the curtains, the lamp and headboard, you identify the time and place perfectly without complication.
Just enough detail, the stitching on the coat, the way her hair moves against her face, the knot in the belt of the trench coat.
I wish I was so capable.

Thanks for taking the time to critique, and for the very kind words!
I'm able to take my time with these pages, and the writer, Dale Mettam, is very easy to work with, and provides inspirational scripts.
I try to keep background and props to a minimum, as there's still dialogue to go onto the page, so I decided that it was vital to make her look as good as I could possibly make her.
Once again, I really appreciate you taking the time to do a Critique.

Thank you! Lots of credit should go to Dale Mettam, the writer. His scripts are terrifically inspiring.

Amazing work. No color, no narrative but the panels begin to tell an interesting story.
Just the other day, I remarked how it was a thrill as a younger comic book customer to find comic books w/o words but the visuals told the story.
Congrats and well done!
