Description
Having successfully reached Spinner's Folly, the Blessed Blades found a spider-themed festival in full swing. The town sure was proud of its spider silk industry!
After obtaining their instructions from the mayor and resupplying at the festival market stalls, the party ventured into the nearby dungeon, which served as a the town's spider silk farm.
It will be easy, they said.
Help us collect spider silk, they said.
Don't harm the spiders, they said.
Just knock them out so that the workers can come in and collect the silk, they said.
Numerous traps were triggered since the instructions the townsfolk left on how to avoid them were accidentally dragged off by a spider along with the cow carcass the paper was originally stuck on near the entrance. Betheniel's clever use of a 10ft pole obtained from the market spared the bickering frontline fighters Angela and Natalia from more dart traps.
By the time the party subdued all the spiders and bust out of the dungeon through the mayor's basement, Natalia was convinced the entire town must have been some weird demonic cult that intended to feed the party to the spiders all along. Having been nearly cocooned halfway through the dungeon must have contributed to her... unfavorable opinion. Fortunately, the rest of the party managed to keep her pacified while they collected their hard-earned reward from the grateful mayor.
