great shot! was the car moving at the time when you took this? you must have a very steady hand if you did. you really managed to capture a nice dark mood, with the light breaking through the clouds with this one! i also really like the reference to WW2 in the title. very fitting ^_^

It's a shame that all that noise is there, because this is a really strong image. You did good with the framing of the shot, and the light highlighting the flag and the pole works very well.

I took this when I was in my car, driving down University. What isn't shown is the Checkers just below the flag.
Lighting was really low and I had it on a smaller aperture to to get it all in focus. The shots I took at less than ISO1600 were pretty long exposures and blurry.

Thanks! I actually took about 20 pictures of this flag blowing. I picked this one specifically because it had that little bit of light.
