"The shields dont have points sticking out on the edges."......but those are not points sticking out on the edges. It is perspective. As a reenactor you surely know that this type of shield is not flat rectangular but convex rectangular. In perspective it could only correctly look like this since that shield is not flat.So nothing is sticking out on the edges its only perspective.

Very good example. Though he must not be unlucky enough to have to carry some of the picks, spades, or any of the construction equipment.

Gladius not Gladis. And Gladius simply means "sword" in latine not short sword as it is falsly propagated in modern pop culture.

One nitpick: The sword's on the wrong side, for a legionary. Since the helmet has no crest, he ain't an officer, and thus, the sword ought to be on his right.

Second Century A.D, if I'm not mistaken, due to the modification on his helmet as the result of the Dacian Wars

That with helmet modification due to Dacians is more o famous theory rather than securely proven fact. This helmet howewer lacks that additional ribs you have on mind so if we accept theory that reinforcing ribs were added indeed because of Trajanic Dacian campaigns this is from before these wars-although it is certain that not completely all Roman hemets were given such additions.
