Tools used: Paint Tool SAI, Adobe Photoshop 7.0, Wacom Graphire 3 tabletApparently, this didn't show up on a lot of people's inbox so I am resubmitting u_u!! Sorry if you commented on the former post, but dw, I read them all. I also made some revisions, I hope this is better. @_@
I am working on my artbook still, and I decided to post a piece from it just to show that I was still alive. Please look forward to its release next spring!

I have a question. Did you learn things like realism first before finding your own style? Did you go to school for it or was it independent study *struggling to improve* knowing might help me out a little, cause your stuff is just down right inspirational and aweinspiring

I didn't learn realism to a great extent until later on, when I started exploring painting more. I didn't take any classes, but I think I could benefit from schooling probably! I think the best thing I can tell you is to keep an open mind and don't box yourself in; try new things, explore uncharted territories, and have fun doing it. You learn a lot along the way, and it keeps the process from being too monotonous and systematic.

I know this is an old old comment, but I took drawing in college and it made me hate it. It became controlled, boring work. Don't get schooled, it will kill your soul. :/ But really.

Hey Juby! As usual fantastic piece! The strongest aspects of this piece are the jewels, the bracelets and the rendering of the skin. I also love the hair, the lips, the overall expression of the face, and the shawl. But, I somehow felt that the hands were probably a bit to close to big? I don't know how to describe it but they feel off like maybe you needed more shoulder line? But ITS SUPER AWESOME!!

Can't help but feel that if there's a strong light source, it will cast a more mystifying mood on the girl. But it is still a very strong piece. The crisp and detailed jewellery surface light characteristics really steal the show.

It looks beautiful though, and asides from the obvious, I'm quite entranced by the jewelry she's wearing. The light shining off of it is very well done.

ooh wow! I have to say this is one of the most beautiful pieces I have ever seen! I love the pose, the face, her eyes...the way she seems like she might move and entrance you even more at any moment. I feel she's an exotic dancer...bought out to play only by the highest members of the world. But even though many know of her...not many know her story. A mystery of a woman...I love it!
