It ruins the original book by Lewis Carroll. Alice was never meant to be insane, she was never meant to be cruel or evil, she doesn't kill, and she sure as hell was never meant to be abused. Carroll wrote it for an actual little girl, Alice Liddell.
I want adaptations of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" to be as true to the book as possible.

ok ok, true, I understand why you say that. it's just I enjoy things like horror and twisted fairy tales and I've always liked them as a kid. (I was always the odd one out)
I just think American McGee just wanted us to have something exciting to play once in a while, not ruin our childhood memories of Alice in wonderland

I agree with Pandi in a way. You have to think, American McGee never really claimed to stick to the story. As with all art and literature, you interpret what you see and make it your own. American McGee sees a different version of Alice than you do and I do because everyone interprets things differently. It's just like giving an opinion on an art piece. But I love seeing everyone's views. I thought the game was lovely.
