I really like the feel of this. It takes something that we might expect to see in a World War II film reel or photograph and applies it to a familiar science fiction setting. It also does a wonderful job of removing the combat of the moment from the viewer. We're so often shown the up close and personal aspects of combat in these franchises that we can forget that sometimes these battles and clashes can happen at extreme ranges as we see here with a flight of bombers dropping their payload at high altitude. it adds a certain level of faceless detachment to the moment of war that is transpiring before our eyes.

The glow effects from the bombs and their impacts is a very nice touch with the light from said ordnance playing off of the solar panels of the neighboring craft as they conduct their bombing patterns. It really gives the scene a sense of action as the flashes from the bombs temporarily wash out the view of the bombers conducting the attack.
