Looking amazing so far. Do you use references while you work? I can never find good ones and I hate working blind.

Oh yes I use a lot of reference photos. You can never use one image obviously, because you need 360 degrees of information. I find a good photo of each part of the animal in every possible position or view and combine the features that I like into one creature. I make a proportionate to scale armature first which is most important.

I just get so impatient and haven't found a good way to compile lots of different references. I haven't learned to make a good armature yet either which makes the whole process so much harder.

Haha you'd think so. Right now my armatures are just crudely stuck together bits of wire and painter's tape. I haven't ever made anything with a secure base but more and more I'm wanting to give it a shot.

Google images...that simple. I make folders for every animal I want to sculpt and just start saving pictures to that file. Look for skeletal drawings or photos that you can use to pull measurements off of for the armature.
