I've yet to read this part of the series, but am hearing quite a bit about this Alderheart c: He looks really nice here! Can sorta see he's Squirrelflight and Bramblestar's kid xD!

And they (June and Dandelion) still don't have descriptions...which is sad because I love Dandelion very much.Β

i feel like JuniperKit was probably more like bramblestar and DandelionKit more of an orange or yellow-orange like firestar or tan like sandstorm. Just my idea though, they might be different.

To be accurate Dandelion and Spark both need to be torties, but it's believable because Tawnypelt is one. Being a tortie gives a cat a lot of advantages.

i feel like one of them would be a tortie and the other something else, if them being torties is true, tortoise shells are pretty rare considering their parent's genes.Β

Not really, it's more because of the ginger gene. Actually Squirrelflight can only have ginger sons, so both Alder and Juniper would need to be that. But because Squirrelflight isn't a tortie, then Sparkpelt is a huge no-no (it's ginger plus black from Bramble = tortie).Β
To be honest though, Leafpool is also a no-no (two ginger cats can only have cream or ginger kids) and Goldenflower would have to be a tortie for Bramble...
In fact, if you look at this you will be surprised by how many tortoiseshells there are. Ginger is a fickle kind of thing, which is why I kind of don't like using it too much (although I am a huge fans of torties) because it really is a matter of chance and a bunch of stuff that they can explain better.
But anyway...really I can't figure out the naming choice for Dandelion (besides it being a long name). If it was because of her eyes then how? Her eyes would be blue for a while. So...my guess is that she is an amber tortie (golden brown and cream...gorgeous) and thus resembles a petal on the yellow stage.

I know, its really sad. I've actually considered doing a "what if" picture with my interpretation of them.

Oh yes please if possible, I totally think Dandelion looks a lot like Goldenflower (because she is forgotten a lot...Bramble looks like his dad, Tigerheart looks like Tigerstar...Dawnpelt might resemble her...but both Alder and Spark look like Firestar)...
Dandelionkit can look like Goldenflower and Speckletail, and I now firmly accept Juniperkit has small ears like Goldenflowerβs daddy (but is ginger instead of gray).
I only read a small portion of the first book, but I really feel bad for Alderheart in the period before he was made a mc. I feel like Sparkpelt was (aside from giving off a strong Berrynose vibe), I just feel like she was purposely made to make Alderheart seem worthless as a warrior, thus forcing him to be stuck in the crowded MC den.
This idea of forcing cats to be medicine cats is not sitting well with me, regardless of how many times it happens. A cat should not be forced into a position, regardless of what StarClan says.Β

Yes I totally agree. Especially when there are other cats who would probably actually want to be a medicine cat. Seems like a weak plot device to me.

I guess the second rule of being a mc no longer applies...of course part of the problem I think is that StarClan is afraid of losing control of the mortal cats.
