xProgram: Photoshop Elements 9xTime Taken: 4-5 hrs. Well this is an idea that popped into my head one day, and I decided I'd try it out. Definitely not an actual attempt at realism, I would've spent a lot more time and done a lot more details for something like that. Just a quick, fun, stress reliever kind of artwork. This, of course, is Scourge, in his dying moment. (Ick... the anatomy on the mouth is off) I made the background kind of um... abstract? Basically Scourge just realized that there is StarClan and... it's too late for him change his ways so he'll just fade away into nothingness. I like how the eye turned out, though. Fur is so tedious... I may or may not do more pictures in this style.
Oh yeah, this is also a contest entry for #WarriorCatsClaim 's contest. (:

I feel like Scourge's death was forced..also, Firestar has broken the warrior code six times now..how is he in Starclan?
He killed scourge JUST to win the battle.

Scourge's death was for the better though. If he had not been killed, he would have ended up killing a LOT more cats. It was for the greater good in my opinion.

But, it would be interesting to read about him coming back to life somehow and Firestar trying to make Scourge a better cat by starclans orders

But, how could they do that in that situation? Cats where getting killed by Scourge orders and Longtail also did that to test Firestar (in a way) and Longtail did listen to Bluestar...Maybe if Bluestar would still be alive, scourge would have stopped. Scourge asked for the clans to leave their homes when he could have asked to share it too.

Uh, He did not break the warrior code because of him killing Scourge. Please read the code again.

Β As you can see, Scourge was outside the warrior code so it was ok. And just because Firestar broke the warrior code 5 times doesnt mean he shouldn't go to Starclan. It's not like he is perfect. Thats like saying you go to hell for sinning more than once. Yet we all make mistakes every day.

In what way did Scourge not deserve to die? He killed innocent cats and lied his way to the top of twoleg place. He tried to take over a home of hundreds of cats, and any who didn't leave would be killed. What type of cat in the right mind does that? I know lots of people who have been bullied by their siblings, but they don't turn into absolute dick heads like Scourge did.
I do like Scourge as a character, but I will never support him.Β

That still just isn't right. I know people who have been bullied by their siblings, yet they don't end up murders. Have a look at Crookedstar, he lost everyone in his family, yet he became a nobel leader of his Clan. Why couldn't Scourge of been like that?

Because Tigerstar(paw) scarred him for life. Scourge probably thought all of the other clans would be just like him so he'd get rid of them so it won't happen again. Plus Scourge is like a guardian to the alley cats by warding off (brokenstar? I can't remember) and trying to bring them extra territory in the forest safe from humans.

I use both
SAI for line art, coloring and shading usually, and photoshop elements for everything else. (Sketch, background, effects)
