No idea; the thing is that Babs has a genetic thing in her family so there are lots of fur colors among her siblings (pink, blue, gray, black, white...) and the same happens with her own children.

Nah; according to The J.A.M., Buck had a birth accident and didn't have enough oxygen so, as a sequel, his reflexes and talking are a little slow.
