Steven- Then again, we confirmed their assistance 2 months ahead of time, so we had time to make special seats.

Steven- too bad there isn't enough room for them to dance at the reception.
Connie- well, they said they prefer to spectate rather than participate. They've never seen a wedding before, after all.

Connie- well they can't help it for their size. Anyway, let's get going. The reception can't start without us!

White Diamond- odd, they told us the ceremony was their way of coming together, but they don't seem to be fused.
Yellow Diamond- maybe it's a metaphorical sense rather than a literal one... and Blue, would you PLEASE stop crying?! I can't see.
Blue Diamond- *drying her tears* I'm sorry, it's just a glorious sight.

YD-Good point... and well, considering it's Steven we're talking about...
At the reception, Steven and Connie have their first dance as a married couple... and fuse into Stevonnie, who continues dancing.
YD- ... Yes, that's the fusion. *sly grin*

Mr. Maheswaran- *looking at his glass* what is IN this drink?
Garnet- knew it would happen.
*Stevonnie then notices after the music stops, and un-fuses*
Connie- heh, sorry everyone.
Steven- we just got too excited.
YD- maybe it is metaphorical, since the fusion isn't permanent.
BD-well,Β their love differs from Garnets'.

WD *nods* True. Remember Steven and Connie have some separate activities, so they can't stay fused all the time.
YD - That's right. Even if they could stay fused all the time, it wouldn't be very practical.
The reception continues, with gems and humans dancing together.Β

YD- well, it seems everyone is enjoying themselves.
WD- true, even with shorter lifespans, Humans find many ways to entertain themselves, and can make a moments decision last a lifetime.
BD- *noticing humans at buffet tables* still, I can't believe they need to do THAT in order to sustain themselves.
YD- you've been talking with Steven's Pearl too much. Still, it is odd.
WD- don't knock it til you try it!
*both Yellow and Blue look at her in disbelief*

WD - Humans and other living beings need to feed themselves to survive; so, since they need to do this regularly, they try to enjoy it as much as possible.
YD- It makes sense; if I were to do something too often, I'd try to find ways to make it less of a duty and more like a personal enjoyment.

BD- but why did you partake in it, White?
WD- I had a talk with the young Amethyst, and when she described the wonders of taste I had to see what we've been missing. While the portions weren't of adequate size, they were still quite enjoyable. I even grew a fondness for the carbonated liquids.

WD- The taste is very enjoyable, and the bubbles cause a tickling sensation.
YD - Mmm... My Pearl drank some of it yesterday, and then expelled the gas in a loud and admittedly comical manner. Maybe we'd take a bit, even if just out of curiosity.Β

BD- it would never hurt to try.
YD- However, we should probably save it for another day. Expelling gas at a social even like this would be a bit uncouth.
WD- very true. Let's just enjoy the rest of the festivities.
Amethyst- hey, seems like the diamonds are enjoying themselves over there.
Pearl- even though they can't participate they still enjoy watching.
Garnet- if I had been told over 6000 years ago that I would be attending social events with Blue Diamond without fear I would have never believed it.
Pearl- well with Steven, and now with Connie, the impossible will always come true.

Peridot- Then again, if we're seeing it, it wasn't really Impossible on the first place.. *pause* Extremely improbable, Downright insane, or A sign of mental illness... Yes, those descriptions would have fit very well.
Lapis- True that. I felt the same when I was trapped inside that mirror.
Bismuth- Hey, don't start comparing 'Misery Stories' here; it's a party. *grin*

Lars- alright, and with the finishing touches, my greatest creation... for now... is complete! *sets down a massively large wedding cake*
Sadie- wow. You were cutting close to the deadline there.
Lars- well, it is for Steven after all. I had to make it PERFECT... and big enough to serve everyone. Good thing Pearl and Peridot were able to make a big enough oven to cook it in.
Sadie- you know, Connie's probably gonna have to use her sword instead of a knife to cut that thing.
Lars- at least she's a master at using it. Now, if you'll excuse me. *lifts the tray effortlessly with one hand*
Sadie- I'll never get over these abilities you have now.
Lars- well, I'd lift it with my pinkie, but that would be showing off a bit TOO much. *winks at Sadie, then carries the cake to the main table.*

BD- yes, this is EXQUISITE! We must ask the pink human for the... what's it called... recipe?
WD- even if we do, we won't be able to replicate it. A great chef never reveals his tricks.

YD- well, if the events play out correctly, her visions are more likely to come true. Blue, what ARE you doing?
BD- *scanning the sky nervously* Well, if this reception is anything like the last one that took place, a major catastrophe could interrupt it at any moment.
YD- Blue. That was US. WE interrupted the last reception held on this beach.
BD- *blushes* oh... right...
