Lupe WAS robotized in a Sonic annual, but somehow retained her free will long enough to smash the robotizer and free the other about-to-be-robotized prisoners. Then she sank into mindless unquestioning waiting for commands.
She was next heard of as having been derobotized by an alien race who knew how to do it. Almost nobody on Mobius was robotized now.

They look much like some robots in an article I just read on office robots. Are they safe ? There are reports of humans getting killed when they got in the path of a robot carrying out instructions.
Alan Alda, on a program that hasn't been shown for a while, was shown giving verbal instructions in conversational English, to a non-humanoid robot. The AI machine was to take some materials to a designated person. It was shown the route, etc, At one point, its route was blocked by a man restocking a vending machine, and it asked the man to please move out of its way. Not finding the person in her office, it then checked the other offices it had memorized...
