It's finished. This piece is called 'Guardian of the Sumatran Rainforest' , done in Pastel on Pastelmat paper, 70 x 50 cm.

I was inspired by how the local people seen Sumatran Tiger as a being that should be respected and honored, like an elderly. Their presence in the forest is really important, indicating that the rainforest and its biodiversity are healthy.

Sadly as we lived in the modern world, those important values is being forgotten and replaced by a never ending human greed. I hope this painting will remind us to keep respecting and protect this majestic species.
