Description
When approaching the Erymanthian Boar, a large and viscious and hideous wild pig, it was my intention to elicit suggestions that this was a creature of a purely derranged and homicidal nature. Things like the red eyes, big purple warts, and snot in the nostrils were intended to further emphasize this idea.
I'd actually come up with the design for this creature a year prior to creating "Heracles".

So I merely had to harken back to my original blueprint, changing the pose and attempting to improve all of its imposing qualities I desired to impress upon the viewer. This guy took a me a considerable amount of time to complete, especially when it came to coloring him, what with all the fine details. And shading hair/ fur is always a painstaking and meticulous process.
