About a year ago I did an "Alice In Wonderland" themed drawing for my girlfriend .
Although it was widely ignored across DeviantArt, it did fortunately gain me the recognition of a certain Mike Schneider, who is collaborating with various artists, both veteran and amateur, to create an "Alice In Wonderland" picture book, which follows the original Lewis Carol manuscript paragraph-for-paragraph, only minus all text, as each paragraph is to be expressed through art. This is my first (and hopefully not last) submission to the project, which depicts the final scene in the Wonderland sequence, before Alice is awoken by her sister, in which the now quite large Alice remarks to the King and Queen of Hearts, "Who cares for you? You're nothing but a pack of cards," after which the entire deck dives at Alice. Depicted here is not the entire deck but every card in the "hearts" suit, as well as the ever popular ace-of-spades. I added the White Rabbit and Bill the Lizard and the knave and an anonymous bird fleeing the scene to depict the pandemonium that would have ensued in the courtroom (this is the end of the court scene) upon all of the playing cards assembling and diving at Alice. Hopefully more of these from me in the future.
