shrouded in shadows of the unknown lays the Nega faction, delving into the occult legends of pokemon and developing new technologies and weapons, their stealth and secrecy rivaled by no other. but despite their malicious appearance, many of the members of this faction only do so to save their loved ones, or the planet itself. those who have malicious intent within this bases library answer to Xera its leader swift as she is cunning, none wish to face her blades.

Personality: Meredith is very unapologetically sassy and flirty using inuendos when she talks. She's also got a rebellious streak about her and does enjoy fighting. But if you start a fight in her bar, she'll still throw you out. While she does value her independence she also realizes the importance of friends and family, and would want a mate because she wants one rather than because she has to have one. She's also rather adventurous which also leads her to dabble into things she probably shouldn't, which led her to nega, the faction she now works for.

Background: Meredith grew up in a wild west esque town, in the desert with a sort of wasteland clan. While the town was a very tight knit community and mostly loving, the clan was also a very controling one. Aside from being lowkey bandits, they would also tell people who to hang out with and who to marry, even going so far as to require those in marraige to have children to continue the clan's lineage. Meredith grew up relatively happy in the clan, however she always questioned their rather controling ways, only to get brushed off. As she grew older she'd get more and more rebellious and curious about the world outside the desert clan. And then came the time the clan chose for her to get married. It was then she learned a few harsh lessons about her family. She learned that her father had only married her mother and had her for status. She learned that she despized the lifestyle they led, and decided then to strike out on her own. This of course angered her clan, which caused them to quickly turn on her, and threaten her with lynching. Of course Meredith was.. well... Meredith. When they tried to get the equipment ready, they found that all of it had been burnt to a crisp along with the courthouse. Thankfully she waited til everyone was out of the house to do so. She had escaped, knowing they'd probably do some less than innocent things to her if she returned.

For several years after her escape, she would wander the desert searching for jobs wherever there was one and learning as much as she could. She got really good at working and creating with her hands. She learned how to build machines of various sorts, like guns, and brewing machines, and different drinks and elixirs. Of course her curiosity eventually led her to dabbling into some... more occult measures of making things, selling some enchanted drinks and weapons here and there. This of course got the attention of the Nega faction, who felt strongly that she required supervision. At first Meredith very strongly rejected this idea. Her rebellious and independent spirit led her to prepare to leave again, but soon she got to know the others on the Nega faction. They had offered her a family, which she had also found out she was starved for. Not only that, but she realized the reason she got their attention was that they did some strange practices as well, which had her intrigued. Their interests were actually similar. And as a plus they weren't as utterly controling as the last one. So she finally decided to put her newfound talents to good use, settling down as a bartender, to bring joy to others and to help the cause as well.
