Shellder are commen shellfish that are usually found in shallow pools on many coastlines.They eat by willying their 'tounge' out attracting small fish and crill. When they get too close they pull it in so fast it caused a suction that pulls them in and slams the shell shut. They then relese digestive juices that eats away at their trapped prey.
They have tight grips and can almost shatter bone if they latch on to a hand or food. Young trainers are told to be careful when handling them.
They are sometimes seen 'swimming' by jetting water from their shell, propelling them through the water.
