Hey there. I was wondering if I could use this Reference sheet to try my hand at 3D modelling it? (Don't expect any miracles, just practicing)

so if charmander is this size does this mean Charmeleon is much bigger than a human?

So this is charmander. It's an allosaurus with a flame at the end of the tail. Interesting concept drawing. So how much pokemon have you drawn so far anyway. I can't keep up with your art work.

Hmmm i see. Are you planning to design a few new ones? I hear there's over 600 different pokemon. It's an awful lot, but there are some that don't look too bad.

You have a point about the sizes. What bothers me often is that there's so little variation in size when by rights some could be much larger - even the lower evolutions. It's probably to make them seem on the same level as each other as they grow...
Anyway, cool design. I like the dinosaur aspect to it.

I like the size change it fits with the realistic way you draw things. You drew him sooo well!

Navarre was on the right track, I think that the tibiotarsus should be longer while the tarsometatarsus should be shorter to match real world theropods.

I wonder how you'd draw his evolutions.

I loooove it! You concept of pokemon is great! I also love how you make the dragon pokemon so big. It'd be awesome if they made them like that in the game.
I love the original series' version, but the fact that they make a FIRE BREATHING DRAGON so small. It just..... Irks me.

I agree with the idea of a lot of Pokemon needing to be bigger 100%, haha. The manga did it a little better than the show, I thought, but a few of 'em still seemed small to me.
And idk! At the idea of a 'Zard not being able to fly, I think with proper anatomy and biological makeup, it would have been fine. The newest research on pterosaurs says they weren't the super-lightweight "glorified kites" that the popular opinion stated a few decades ago. Especially the azhdarchids! [link] is an interesting read about the way pterosaurs functioned, although obviously all of it wouldn't apply to a big, allosaurus-y hexapod like 'Zard.
Something like a 'zard might need muscles more dense to output the proper amount of power for their weight, but given the supernatural abilities of other Pokemon, I don't think that is too much to ask for, suspension-of-disbelief wise.
Sorry for the rambling, but I really love your redesigns of these guys (even though I don't comment so much). It's really hard for most people to make Pokemon into something believable and still capture their essence, and I think you do it excellently!

The Pokedex has actual heights for the Pokemon -- Charizard has to be bigger than the show makes it seem.

but the pokedex is even worse than the anime

I love your pokemon designs! Seeing one in reference form is a special treat.
Are you going to make one of these for all the first gen starters?
If so, awesome. ;-;
