Awww!
I want to give him a squeeze and then send him off to chase bunnies!
You did a very good job on both the face and the torso, it really looks like the birds they're supposed to resemble.

Very nicely done. There is something that irks me about the hands (palms should face each other and not have a huge degree of wrist movement), but it is very good.

Isnt that just when their running, holding their arms in close like a bird, but when they are still ther wrists are quite dexterous?

Eriorguez In reply to JoshuaDunlop [2008-09-25 13:46:10 +0000 UTC]
Not really, they have them pretty much locked, only able to move the hand like a bird. And that is a huge degree of movility for a dinosaur. We mammals are much more flexible, and the fact that we come from tree dwellers made our wrists very mobile.

...I am not much one for "feathered" raptors, mostly because they sort of betray the word dinosaur if they have feathers XD.

Yeah, I'd prefer the animal that looks as if it were inspired by common garden lizards over something that takes its badassery from forces of nature like hawks or eagles.
You know, the animals that those "raptors" actually GET THEIR NICKNAME FROM.

..that is depressing, I like dinos without feathers personally, I like to remember them not as blood thirsty "chickens" but more as a group of carnivorous reptiles... Oh well I guess it does not matter really now does it. It is still a fairly nice drawing after all..

It's fine that you like them a certain way, but it doesn't matter. And for god sakes, why is it that when people imagine feathered dinosaurs, they automatically think of chickens? Hawks, storks, parrots, vultures, ducks, geese, pigeons, seagull, and sparrow, plus several hundred other types that people could be choosing from to use as a comparison that I don't have time to mention.
