In my past headcanon, Sonic saves Tails from attack of Badniks in his home, Tails try to take down some but they are a lot of them, luckily Sonic arrived to take down and Tails was very surprised and thanks him for saving his life.

But this time, I decided to change the headcanon differently, this time in the Emerald Hill Zone, after the events of Sonic 1 and before Sonic 2, Tails was bullied by a group of animals punks, who they laugh at him for having two tails, and this time they destroy one of the inventions he made, but a blue bur run by and suddenly appeared and ran towards them, teaching them a lesson and they ran away. Sonic asks him if he is okay, Tails was a little surprised, nobody ever asked him if he is okay, but he told him, that he will laugh at him like the others, Sonic confused and asked him, why would I do that? Tails answer him that everyone else seems to do that as he can remember, Sonic looks at the sky and then he tells him that it ends here, Sonic was pretty amazed by the invention Tails made and he tells him that they don’t know what they are missing and show him that he have a great talent and he will definitely tell everyone he knows the coolest inventor he is ever known right now, Tails was surprised about his answer and Sonic presents himself and that’s the start of a new friendship.

Personally I was amazed how much i enjoy remake this piece of art and the new head canon really makes me wanna do a comic about these two.
