Is it just me, or does everything around Tauriel remind discussion and arguments people had about Arwen before The Two Towers?

I get worries about the romance, since romance subplots in general are sucky one way or the other (it doesn’t help that the other party is Kili, who seems to be mature enought to go “ewww girls” while eating worms), but it doesn’t mean it can’t work out.

I just don’t get folk saying she’s useless, they were gonna need elves anyway to do shit, they could all be women for all I care. That would be quite cool actually. And talking about not-needed addition, anyone know this Legolas-dude xD Seriously, I love Leggie, so it’s fun to have him back, but you can’t really say Tauriel doesn’t have anything to do with the plot as she has actually more reason to be around that our pretty boy. Just saying.

Didn't feel like even pretending there's backgrounds or anything. Maybe I should have drawn her with Kili... though since we don't know is that relationship actually gonna work or not I rather save myself the heartbreak and not draw it just yet. I've prayed for dwarf/elf canon for so long in cinema and I really try to keep my hype down in fears of it sucking.
