Yeah, canon-Holmes is actually like my... "original" fandom of sorts. Most of the art is very very old and horrible though. This one I like tho. It's been featuras in a fanzine xD

I was literally planning on saying "If you ever decide to print a fanzine with all these sassy willowy old men lounging around, please immediately inform me". XD I would love a printed collection of a whole bunch of your artwork!

It's actually elina-elsu's project. There's a lot of art from different folks, some fanfiction (in Finnish) too. I actually don't know if it's already printed or not.
Well, any of my art is actually uploaded in decent formant (I cant remember half the time what I put out xD) anyone is free try and print them themselves xD I even give out originals for free to people if I haven't torn/thrown in the thrash/lost work, tho. I should do more Sherlock Holmes -fanart, I just don't seem to ever get around, not even now that I am spending all my time in neighboring Victorian fandom xDDDD

The amount of detail in the scene (omg the design of the furniture) and the colors are such a joy to look at. I just want to print this picture and post it over my workspace because it gives me a very cosy feeling.

This is very well liked in the community too, I'm amaze, I was a bit underwhelmed myself, but I believe what you say, i guess it is nice then. It's sometimes hard to see yourself when you've succeeded.

Oh ho ho, I see what you did with the mistletoe. I love your imagination of how the interior of 221B looks.

Aren't I just sneaky xD I couldn't help it, the story happens around Christmas anyway.
I actually have like no idea what 22ib really should look like, I'm so bad at imagining rooms xD Just put all kinds of stuff behind them based on photos and stuff, but I don't know how it relates to blueprints xD

All my Holmes-artwork is always more or less Holmes/Watson, unless stated otherwise.
And even then it's quite probable.

Word. Seriously though, I think it fairly impossible to argue they wouldn't love each other based on canon, because that's just something that reeks form every sentence from a mile away xD

You know, I'm so frustrated that irene Adler is in most adaptations depicted as his ideal love-interest, when I would actually buy absolutely any relationship with any of the femlae clients etc. over Irene Adler. It's always forgotten, that Irene had her own loveineters, her own agenda, where Holmes was just an inconvenient obstacle. Sure she left an everlasting impression to Holmes, mostly because she indeed was remarkable, but I also think that Holmes probably didn't even have any prior significant women in her life. I assume he didn't have sisters, and his mother probably was quite distant as it was a custom at the time adn then he probably spent most of his childhood in boarding schools and stuff.
So I completely undertand that he's find Irene Adler amazing, because he simply hasn't met women so active and strong before. But uh, romantic ineterest? You can already see from his habit of calling her The Woman, that she exist on an untouchable pedestal.
But I wouldn't completely count out possibility that Holmes could have had romantic interest towards women... even when he's difficult and rude I can't even remeber him being harsh on any of the women that come to him with their troubles. I see that he understands that they come to him mostly because they can't go to anywhere else, so there must be an ability to empathise and nothing suggests that he couldn't have some romantic or at least protective feelings too.
But I come back to the fact that I seriously believe that Holmes' experience with women is vastly limited. I don't think would even know how to approach women, he barely knows how to make male friend, not mention keep them up! Living arragement with Watson makes it even possible him to be permanetly attached to someone, and I would see that Holmes probably would find companionship with a man easier or at least approachable.
And it benefits that Watson is completely smitten with him, so he deals with his bullshit 24/7 xD
No but really, I don't make any guesses on anyone's sexuality, because canon doesn't give anything really either way. It doesn't even make a claim towards asexuality really, it just sort of avoids dealing with the question what so ever.
But what you CAN definitely say that Holmes and Watson are ridiculously in love to each other, because seriously, they're entire lives from The Study in Scarlet to the cottage in Sussex just revolves around each other. Sexual aspects of it are left to the reader, but I do find it near stupid to deny the isn't massive infatuation in the room xD
Oh god this post got long. Should maybe crosspost to tumblr or something, wtf.
