For some bizarre reason I kept imagining chrysalis with a southern accent when i was drawing this almost like New Orleans.
As much as I enjoy doing rough speed painting and digital painting I really do want to create stronger polished pieces
. Thatβs partly why the title cards are taking so long. i need to re learn about my drawing tablet again to improve on what digital skills i have already. Check out my FIM title card project here

One reason why I love this drawing so much is the fact that, to me, it looks a little bit old timey. I love how you didn't use very bright colors, and how you gave the setting an afternoon feel. I love the look on Cadence's face and how it contrasts with Chrysalis's expression. I love the colors in this drawing so much, I just cant get over it. I love the detail on Chrysalis's hat, it's very nice. However, I think you could have added maybe another pony or two in the background or the sky, just to give it the feeling of a big city, as this is Canterlot. Overall, this is an amazing drawing. You did an excellent job.

I must say, this is a very interesting piece of art. The fact that you decided to go against the norm and make Chrysalis well, lady-like clearly is the strong point here. The background is nice and vivid for the occasion, although Octavia looked a bit out of place. I really am wondering what those two are talking about! Your art style and lighting is well done. It adds a very nice texture to the art. The disagreeing look from Cadence coupled with Chrisalis's new found poise and manners clearly brings the art to live. Good job and a good effort on this one!

My favorite part is the leaf on Chrysalis' dress positioned in the area where a 'normal' alicorn would have wings, to make up for her dress covering her actual wings.
The expression on Cadance's face is just wonderful, too.
