Description
Story:
After riding around the local trails with Camelot she found the perfect event for them. It was a short endurance race in Denmark. As Camelot was no endurance horse, but they both enjoyed longer trail rides, Zoey decided to give it a go.

The drive down had left Camelot with more energy than usual, making her almost impossible to hold back at the starting line, while the other entrants rode out one by one. She just hoped the mare wouldn’t spend all her energy at once. It might be a short race for endurance, but it was 6 hours after all.

She seemed to be doing fine, managed through most of the trail without burning out. Towards the end Zoey wanted to see just how much stamina the horse had, and let her run as fast as she could. With those racing genes from her mother it felt like a rocket that took off the moment she got the chance, flying over the open field in front of them. However she didn’t last all the way to the finish line, with such an outburst of energy she quickly went empty, and they had to calm down to a calm trot so the mare could catch her breath a while before the finish.

They managed to cross the finish line not long after, Camelot seeming tired after the ride, but pleased with the new experience. Perhaps lighter endurance was something they could consider in the future after all.
