I saw a concept art tutorial on pumpkins so I gave it a shot.
No one caught it but the clouds form a wolf like face.

I love that your picture has a simple object, but you managed to give it a creepy and dense athomsphere.
I especially like gnarled branches, t really adds to the mood of the picture (I also love to draw gnarled trees

When I started this it was just to practice doing pumpkins, not meant to be a finished piece.
Ended up liking how it came out and couldn't bring myself to delete it.
Seems that happens a lot, maybe to much.
Gnarled trees are lots of fun doing.

the colors and the texture of the ground are amazing. convey to me the true feeling of the autumn. walks in the forest, rather than noisy kids running away.
Nothing against halloween, but to me autumn is more fit to silent contemplation within the nature, and about how man can still blend with nature itself, rather than parties.

This year I have really tried to focus on values and saturation more, also learning how use brush dynamics.
Knowing what changing the dynamics can do is huge, much more than I imagined.
Pumpkins are one of my favorite things to paint so it helps when the painting is something you like doing.

Yup, all the little things you learn can make a huge differents.
I am currently learning more about how to control light and atmosphere, there
is always something you learn thru the work and it makes art more interesting.

This is perfectly and wonderfully eerie. What I really like about this design is the sense that characters are approaching the pumpkin through the mists. I can vaguely make out a face on one of them. ...of course this could be a happy mistake and perhaps I'm looking into it more. I like looking for designs in the clouds too. haha... Great work here!

I didn't see it at first but now that you mentioned it, I can definitely see the wolf in the clouds. I think I may have missed it because one of the branches if so close to the upper edge of the nose. It's not exactly a tangent , but pretty close.

The wolfish face was intended to be easily missed.
