I'm finally allowed to post this page and announce that I won the DC Comics Talent Search!!!This is the page that I drew for the contest, and it was published today in Harley Quinn #0.
It was an amazing opportunity. Being a comic book artist is something I've been dreamed about my entire life.
To be published in a comic book alongside legendary artists like Amanda Conner, Becky Cloonan, Tony S. Daniel, Stephane Roux, Dan Panosian, Walter Simonson, Jim Lee and Scott Williams, Bruce Timm, Charlie Adlard, Adam Hughes, Art Baltazar, Tradd Moore, Dave Johnson, Sam Kieth, Darwyn Cooke, and Chad Hardin. Its INCREDIBLE, even better than I could have imagined.
I have to thank Jim Lee, Eddy Choi, Bob Harras, Brian Cunningham and everyone at DC who have made this such an amazing experience.
I also want to thank everybody who sent their congratulations! I really appreciate that.

Your art is great, but I think it would have been cool if you at least drew something bathing-related in the final image, like a bathtub floating in space, or a rubber duck riding the rocket.

I picked up this issue up and really enjoyed the mix of art styles for it. I enjoyed this page a lot! I really hope you have more coming soon because you have a great talent! Good on DC for picking you up.

I think the fact that you refused to draw the final panel shows a seriously lack of artistic integrity. If you weren't able to show what was asked for in a way that was both efficient and tasteful, you weren't good enough to win the contest.
It is obviously a fantastic piece of artwork, the aforementioned aside. I just think it's a shame you couldn't complete the assignment the way it was supposed to be done.

You do not know if it was Dc Comics who asked him to change after he won because of the controversies that had, so do not judge people, YES it was deserved to have won, and if you had won would know what happened, then who does not have ability was you ...

You want a lack of "integrity", the point of this was discover a new artist, but at the end of the day, they picked the guy who'd worked for them before.

Can you sight your source? I've been trying to find some info on this but I can't because of all the blogs written by mom's groups who had their feelings hurt because they found out all comics aren't G rated.
And if you're serious, then I take what I said about the artist and redirect to DC times 100.

You should TOTALLY direct your comments at DC. I was going to enter this contest too, so i know the whole bit about the last panel being... well, completely different, lol. but that aside, this guy is AMAZING. have you seen his gallery? he's legit. i'm just surprised cuz i thought he was already a published artist, lol. either way, cut this guy some slack. you're coming off a bit "rockandTROLL-ish".
