i like the way light is shining through hawk's feathers
the contrast between hawk and cold bg isn't a bad thing if you want to assert bird's importance in the scene, illustration doesn't have to be 100% realistic after all
though what looks strange is the position of the sun - generally sun behind a mountain isn't bad but it seems that the source of light is somewhere above the top-left corner

Beautiful piece, the attention to detail is amazing. I agree with CalebThatcher, the hawk seems to not belong somehow but otherwise its outstanding!!

WOW!!!! one of the best pictures I have seen tonight lol. Great painting, One thing I think you should change is the color of the hawk. I think it should have a tint of blue in it so it seems like its in the atmosphere its currently in. To me it just seems like the bird doesnt belong in this photo. But thats my opinion either way its still great.

Yeah it just kind of seems photoshoped a little bit. Like you took an image of the landscape and took the bird and placed it on top. The tint of blue would make it better. either way great painting.
