With my silk scarf, again, but with a slightly different feel. My friend was trying to figure out a composition to draw for her drawing class final project. I offered Bengali Silk II , but her professor said it was too light and he wanted more darks and gradients. So then I took this, but she said it was too dark. She added that if she was taking a painting class, then she would have painted it.

Nevertheless, I still like it. I got lucky with the pose. It seems that whenever I take a low-lighting pic, even the slightest changes in expression or pose make a huge difference. I like how it is dark but still warm and gentle.

I've been reading the Twilight book series in preparation for the movie... so I was feeling a bit romantic and soft. I know. Shoot me now. This is also one of the few pics where I'm not actually looking at the camera. It kind of goes against my whole "strong female" persona, but everyone has their moments.

A side note about the Twilight books: so far (I'm on Eclipse), I like New Moon the best. My favorite part was when Edward left Bella. Not only did I completely understand when she would literally hold herself together, but her narrative also got a whole lot more interesting. Even though she was borderline suicidal, her frankness and empty humor was kind of refreshing after all the declarations of undying love, etc. I know, I'm cynical. The lovey-dovey stuff is fun and very enjoyable, but the darker stuff is also insightful. Ok. Enough book review. I'll say more when I'm done with the series.
