Description After watching King Kong vs. Godzilla again over the weekend I was pleasantly reminded that Kong is in fact a wicked drunk in that film.
He gets completely hammered off a few barrels of berry juice and passes out.
This may ultimately explain why the Toho version of Kong is three times the size of the American Kong.
And I finally found a way to get Gwoemul "The Host" into a comic, so I'm pretty happy with that.

size changing, King Kong's unofficial power.

seriously, watch the 1933 movie again, the guys who did the overlap effects thought the concept was so goofy (kaiju not being a thing yet) that they got artsy with the shots. This causes King Kong's relative size to shift from scene to scene from an estimated 18 feet tall to 50 feet tall.

The best part is that...King Kong actually beat Godzilla in a fight in that movie ! No really he actually beat Godzilla, the director even said that Kong won.
But Godzilla is gonna have his rematch with King Kong in the upcoming movie "Godzilla vs Kong" which will be released in 2020.

Let me guess, Kong's drunk, and the stuff that happened in the movie was supposed to be the dream from the hangover he had?

Yeah, especially Peter Jackson's Kong... he seemed like he was a great bar room brawler, what with all the scars on him, etc.

the film originally gonna be godzilla vs frankenstein, but then scrapped that, put frankenstein in frankenstein conquers the world, replaced him with kong but kept the idea of the antagoist being 50 meters, and the ability to shoot lightning

Well sure, if you want the "actual" reason for it. I should add Toho's Frankenstein to the list of "to be drawn"...

Uh, King Kong was the protagonist monster in King Kong VS Godzilla. Godzilla wouldn't become the hero until Ghidorah: The Three-Headed Monster.

At least Toho got Kong's character right (IE; Fighting dinosaurs, being worshiped/feared on a remote island, falling in love with humans) which is MORE than I can say about a certain CGI lizard...
