When the ancient Terran Confederacy was fractured by the dimensional storms that isolated the human colonies and left their governments in absolute darkness and caused different scenarios of anarchy and unprecedented technological losses, no defense was advanced enough to prevent invasions and looting by From other extraterrestrial races, the fear of a losing battle and the absence of leadership ended up subjecting vulnerable populations to slavery.
Among many of the species that took advantage of scavenging the colony worlds, "the Orks" were the ones who took the best slice of the dissolved confederation, breaking their diplomatic pact of non-aggression, thousands of humans were reduced to a docile, malnourished servitude and working tirelessly for the newly emerging Ork Empire.
The "Mekaniak" (Mekamaniaks) were the warlike mechanical Orks who took their scientific expertise by inheritance to loot and dismantle the technological coffers of the Confederacy, recycling and adapting the technology available in the Gears of War they would need to Conquer the Galaxy on behalf of their gods "Gorko and Morko" and in the expansion of the Orkoid empire.
They were times of abundance for the Orks, the human slaves were so abundant that they could cook a good meal with them but all change when they detected the appearance of a golden figure in their signals, the same "Emperor" had arrived with his "Great Crusade ”. Imperial records decreed to purge all Orkoid life from the colonies and release humans from their prisons until the blasphemy of the "Orkoid Empire" was dismantled.
Large number of worlds were kidnapped by the Orks but slowly and progressively "The Emperor" reconquered what once belonged to humanity. As they were pushed to the galactic edge, the Orks began to become tougher and more resistant, even mutating their bodies until they reached 5 meters in height; Pursued to the edge of the galaxy, the Orks remained strong and defiant to the Empire of humanity until they were reduced to the last focus of resistance where the "Emperor" himself with his fiery sword descended just to supervise their elimination ... (Between grunts and shots billions of Orks plasma were disintegrated without leaving any spores for the future.)
As a final balance the Orkoid empire was brought down but some factions managed to escape the fury of the "Emperor" in small groups that dispersed and disappeared from the observable universe.
