As an extension of "Starship Troopers" and the interstellar battle between the Terran Federation (humans) against the Arachnid Empire (bugs) 🐜 I present the concept of:
The Plasma Bug is the largest and fattest bug among arachnids reaching 12 meters high, its main function is to shoot plasma with its huge abdomen, its attack can be compared to antiaircraft artillery cannons occupying defensive positions in land colonies of arachnids; Its plasma blast can deflect asteroids or cut federation capital ships in two. ☄
"SICON" (the Terran confederation military intelligence) contemplated the theory that the "Plasma Bug" has enough explosive power to send capsules or spores into space with precision to colonize other habitable worlds for the arachnids (justifying the invasion of the arachnids on various planets.)
To eliminate the Plasma Bug you can use any explosive missile in the distance, the only precaution are the Warrior Bugs that roam or protect the gunner bug, even if the detonation hits the target, it is recommended to protect yourself by the plasma chain explosion. 💥
Here the Terran confederation sending a counterattack on "Klendathu" that soon lost the morale to keep fighting:
