Nami already had bad experiences trying to be an independent treasure-hunting pirate herself. On some occasion she was a prisoner for months on a cursed island and after her rescue she tried again be by hersellf by offering her exploration knowledge to whoever wanted to pay for it.

Chopper had begged her to join to her newly founded crew, but Nami had scorned him by saying she wanted to try and do it alone without her formes allies.

Chopper sneaked into the office during the interview with her potential boss. A lot of money was at stake and Nami had to pretend the seriousness in order to receive the huge amounts of money from her possible employer.

When she began to feel a feather invade her sandals there were not even millions of gold coins that could help the girl to prevent a funny burst of giggles while her employer watched her sternly.

Worse was when Chopper got wild and took off her shoes, making Nami jump nervously in her chair trying to avoid the damn feather that was already starting to make her laugh like a crazy.

- Wow ...- Said her possible boss visibly annoyed.

-So you like to laugh, eh? .. Nobody comes to my office to make fun of me ...-

His men immediately took her to the dungeon where they would let her know what it was to really laugh by the horror of tickling torture.
