It's amazing what you can do with a Sharpie marker and about a hundred hours of dotting excitement. Yes. It is pointillism. No lines whatsoever.24x18 inches

I really love this picture. It's a little bit emotional, what with the fine detail you given to your clothing and hair. I really did a picture in pointillism (it's not on Deviant, though) and I appreciate how long it takes to finish these things.

Fantastic job! You really captured a wonderful range of value, which is extremely hard to get with pointillism. It must've taken you an incredible amount of time...but well worth it

Yeah, about 90 hours total. I even fell asleep once working on it. 
It won me my most proud achievement. A "student's choice award" at a college art show. I find it much more important when all of the contributing artists at an art show collectively love your work the most out of all... I'm very proud of this.

About a hundred is right! I don't know how you found the patience to do this, I think I would have had a mental breakdown. Especially with the hair... I think I feel an anxiety attack coming on just thinking about it.
Awesome work, the shading's phenomenal. I don't think this could have been done any better with pencils.

Well in that case, you have it much easier than I do. If I could manage a detailed drawing in an hour, I'd be a happy camper. Then again, like you said, if the picture really means something, I'll take my time... still a pain though.
